History - About Us
We are a local family-owned business with old fashioned values that started in my backyard in 2012. We did not have a workshop or garage. However, I did purchase an old, enclosed brewery trailer. It was 5 x 7 and had a five foot ceiling. It was a disaster. In January of 2013, I was driving through Naches past the 'old liquor store' with a 'for rent' sign in the window. With no business plan or thought I had the keys that evening. It just seemed like the right thing to do. The business was established as Chinook Trading Post. The building treated us well but was limited in size to 900 square feet. All of our work was being completed outside in the elements with relatively elementary tools. No website and no advertising - however, we survived. In February of 2016, we changed the business name to Spirit in the Wood and moved into our current 8,500 square foot location at 9931 US Highway 12, Naches, WA. The name was chosen as an acknowledgement of the spirit within wood that is brought to life as a one-of-a-kind art piece in your home. In addition, wood genuinely brings a new aura and feel to any room - much like a fireplace. With that spirit, and the realization that trees have stories to tell, our business was created. Rustic furniture and decor can capture the imagination and bring an inner peace that is often not found.
Today, we have grown and rebranded ourselves as Timberloom, Delivering the same Spirit in the Wood and operating with multiple partners to grow our business and hone our art to become the best we can possible be.
At Timberloom we believe the following:
Old fashioned customer service tailored towards meeting your needs. Focusing on what we can do--rather, than what we can't.
We do what we say we we will do.
We will not sell a product that we would not buy ourselves.
Your satisfaction is paramount.
Maintaining our American culture as a pioneering family-friendly business
Supporting our community in representing the unique characteristics that makes the area truly special.
